Your tasks
- Establishment and further development of a product portfolio in the field of control cabinet construction and for cable and connection technology
- Responsibility for the entire product development process – from the initial technical concept through feasibility studies, FMEA and design to series production and certification
- Preparation of switchgear and product specifications in accordance with relevant standards (in particular IEC 61439)
- Analysis of the market, competition and customer requirements, as well as an assessment of cost-effectiveness and risks, with a focus on viable product solutions
- Support for product launches, including technical documentation and training
- Close collaboration with sales, production, work planning and quality management, as well as with international project partners
- Technical support for projects and complaints management from a product perspective
What you bring
- A degree in electrical engineering, energy engineering or a comparable qualification (e.g. technician/master craftsman)
- Solid practical knowledge of the design of cables, connectors and current-carrying capacity, as well as an understanding of the thermal design of control cabinets
- Experience in producing technical documentation, parts lists and quotations
- Excellent knowledge of EPLAN Pro Panel and AutoCAD, as well as proficiency in MS Office
- A good knowledge of relevant standards (e.g. IEC 61439, as well as related standards for cables, connectors and insulation coordination)
- Strong communication skills when liaising with internal departments and customers (German and English)
