Four decades ago, the world looked very different: computers were just beginning to establish themselves in most households, video recorders were a basic feature of every living room, and mobile phones were far from today's technology. The world of electrical engineering was undergoing a transformation, and the demand for individual solutions for the industry was growing. It was during this time that HI-Kabelkonfektionierungs GmbH was founded - initially with only one employee.
What started as a small family business has developed into a company and a reliable, established partner through continuous innovation and a consistent focus on the highest quality standards in the areas of cable assembly, electromechanical assemblies, and control cabinet construction. From the first employee to around 400 employees today - the success story of HIK. is based on the ability to flexibly respond to the needs of the industry and provide customized solutions.
Over the years, HIK has developed outstanding expertise in areas such as cable assembly, electromechanical assemblies, and control cabinet construction. What is considered just an "add-on" for many companies is our core competence for 40 years. HIK represents decades of experience in the international procurement market for electrical components as well as in handling international project and series orders.

Over the years, HIK has continuously evolved and adapted. Important milestones such as the founding of HIS Renewables GmbH, the renaming to HIK GmbH, the opening of a second location in Sanski Most (Bosnia), and the ongoing investment in modern technologies such as high-bay warehouses and driverless transport systems (FTS) have positioned the company even stronger. With over 15 years of experience in integrating renewable energies and a global presence, HIS Renewables GmbH has established itself as a leader in the development and delivery of efficient systems for photovoltaic installations. The development of the HIKwire Configurator, a digital solution for automated and customized production of guidelines, demonstrates our commitment to offering increasingly innovative and efficient solutions.
Even as we look back on 40 years of success, we are looking towards the future with the same determination and optimism. The next challenges lie in the advancing digitalization and the increasingly complex requirements of the industry.
